Our FIRST Time in Ho Chi Minh City 🇻🇳 | War Remnants Museum, Independence Palace, Notre-Dame, Flooded Streets & More
Today was our very first time exploring Ho Chi Minh City, and it turned into one of the most memorable days we’ve had in Vietnam. We started with brunch at La Fiesta Tex Mex, then made our way to the powerful and emotional War Remnants Museum. After spending time understanding Vietnam’s history, we walked over to the Independence Palace, followed by the beautiful Notre-Dame Cathedral and the iconic Saigon Central Post Office.
Right after that… the weather flipped fast. 🌧️
A huge downpour hit the city, the streets started flooding, and we ended up taking shelter inside Highlands Coffee while waiting for our Grab to take us home for an umbrella before heading back out for a vegetarian dinner.
Ho Chi Minh City definitely left a strong first impression — historic, chaotic, lively, and full of surprises.
